Our director, Andrew Wyatt, brings an impressive 35 years of personal plumbing experience to the helm. He started as an apprentice in the UK and, after gaining a wealth of hands-on knowledge, took over Emerald Beach Plumbing in 2020.
Andrew’s practical, problem-solving approach guides the whole team. But it’s not just one person’s expertise you get; our entire crew of plumbers brings a mountain of combined experience to every job.
They’ve spent their careers tackling all sorts of plumbing challenges, from big construction projects to detailed maintenance work right here in NSW and further afield. This collective know-how means there’s not much we haven’t seen or fixed!

With 35 years in the plumbing industry, Andrew has worked his way from apprentice to business owner, gaining extensive experience along the way. Starting his apprenticeship under his father in the UK, he later travelled before arriving in Australia in 2000. After working in Sydney’s renovation industry and then in Coffs Harbour, he joined Emerald Beach Plumbing in 2015 and took over the business in 2020.
Andrew is a highly skilled craftsman, certified in TMV, backflow prevention, waterproofing, and gas fitting. He believes in problem-solving and resilience, reflected in his favourite quotes: “It’s not how you get into these problems, it’s how you get out of them,” and “He who has never made a mistake, has never made anything.”
Born on 17th June, Andrew shares his birthday with Sir Edward Dyer (1543), the philosopher and poet who famously said, “The surest way to fail is not to try.” Much like Dyer’s wisdom, Andrew believes that challenges are inevitable, but success comes from tackling them head-on and always striving to improve. Outside of work, he enjoys outrigger canoeing, fishing, biking, and spending time with his family.
With over four years of hands-on plumbing experience across both commercial and maintenance sectors, Trent Dowdy brings skill, precision, and a strong work ethic to Emerald Beach Plumbing. Whether it’s roofing, civil plumbing, or general maintenance, Trent takes pride in delivering high-quality work with attention to detail, always leaving a job site as tidy as he found it.
Trent lives by the motto, “It is what it is,” because he believes in focusing on what he can control and handling every challenge with a level-headed approach. His dedication to his craft was evident during his studies, where he achieved top marks in the theoretical performance category while completing his Cert III in Plumbing.
Born on August 14th, Trent shares his birthday with legendary motorcycle racer Giacomo Agostini, a 15-time world champion known for his precision and endurance, qualities Trent applies to his own passion for enduro riding. When he’s not on-site, you’ll likely find him exploring off-road trails, relaxing at the beach, or estuary fishing.
With 28 years of professional plumbing experience, Damian is a seasoned expert at Emerald Beach Plumbing. Over the years, he’s worked across construction and maintenance sectors on both commercial and residential sites in QLD and NSW. His vast knowledge and hands-on expertise make him a go-to problem solver on any job site.
Damian’s favourite quote, “Everyone’s a plumber, till the plumber arrives,” reflects his light-hearted sense of humour and confidence in his craft. He’s even been known to reverse the jetting machine flawlessly, especially when there’s an audience watching!
When he’s not on the tools, Damian enjoys painting and spending quality time with his family.
Born in May, Damian shares his birth month with the completion of the iconic Sydney Opera House’s roof structure in 1967, a symbol of architectural ingenuity and craftsmanship, much like the precision Damian brings to his work.
Gus has been honing his plumbing skills for the past eight years, starting his career in Yass before moving to Coffs Harbour, where he’s spent the last seven years working for maintenance plumbing companies. His strong problem-solving abilities and practical approach make him a valued member of the Emerald Beach Plumbing team.
Known for his straightforward attitude, Gus’s favourite quote is, “Don’t think about it and it won’t happen,” which perfectly reflects his laid-back, get-the-job-done mindset.
When he’s not working, Gus dedicates his time to the gym, preparing for bodybuilding competitions with the same focus and discipline he applies to his plumbing career.
Born on 22nd December, Gus shares his birthday with the debut of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 in 1808, a masterpiece known for its bold, powerful composition, reflecting Angus’s disciplined mindset and determination, both at work and in his bodybuilding pursuits.
Georga is a driven plumber at Emerald Beach Plumbing, having completed her apprenticeship with the company and earning her qualification. Now a fully qualified plumber, she thrives in the hands-on, dynamic environment of the trade.
After finishing Year 12, she was accepted into university to study biology but quickly realised that plumbing is way more fun. That decision has led her to thrive in a hands-on, dynamic environment.
Her favourite quote, “A bad day isn’t a bad life,” is a reminder that setbacks are just part of the journey. This attitude keeps her motivated both on and off the job site. As a female in a traditionally male-dominated industry, Georga takes pride in breaking barriers and setting an example for others.
Outside of work, Georga loves being in the ocean, surfing, and hitting the gym after a busy day.
Born on 16th January, Georga shares her birthday with the birth of Dian Fossey in 1932, a pioneering female scientist known for her strength, resilience, and groundbreaking work in a male-dominated field. These are qualities that Georga embodies in her own career.
With 18 years of experience in the plumbing industry, Darren has spent his entire career with Emerald Beach Plumbing, building a wealth of expertise across all aspects of the trade. Before becoming a plumber, he managed plumbing supply stores, gaining extensive product knowledge that complements his hands-on skills. Now, as a licensed plumber, roof plumber, gas fitter, and backflow specialist, Darren takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and problem-solving on every job.
Darren lives by the saying, “What looks like a stumbling block in your life is usually a stepping stone. You decide what it is.” He believes that every challenge, whether at work or in life, is an opportunity for growth.

With 25 years of plumbing experience, Ryan is a seasoned expert at Emerald Beach Plumbing. He kicked off his career with the Master Plumbers Association, later running his own business for 13 years before joining Emerald Beach Plumbing in 2021.
A licensed gas fitter and TMV-certified plumber, Ryan is also an expert roofer, always up for a challenge, whether it’s fixing a leak or tackling a full roof installation. His favourite quote, “Poo and wee to you, is bread and butter to me,” sums up his down-to-earth approach to the trade.

Adam Flintoff, known as Freddy, is a plumber at Emerald Beach Plumbing, bringing seven years of hands-on experience across a variety of sectors, including Defence, Education, Corporate, Civil, and Private. From his work in NSW, Queensland, and the ACT, Freddy has built a reputation for precision, professionalism, and versatility.
Freddy holds a Cert III in Plumbing and is TMV & Backflow certified, as well as trained for confined space, working at heights, and CPR & First Aid. As a Zip and Billi tap specialist, Freddy brings specialised expertise to every job, ensuring clients receive top-quality results with every project.

Casey is just starting her journey as a first-year apprentice at Emerald Beach Plumbing, excited to dive into the world of plumbing and develop her skills. With Year 12 under her belt, Casey is eager to learn the ropes and gain hands-on experience in the field.
